First Hat
Have you learned how to knit and want to make something other than a scarf, dishcloth, or blanket, ie a rectangle? This class is desgned just for you! We will be making a basic stockinette hat in the round. You will have the option to make a ribbed brim (knit and purl stitches) or a rolled brim (all knit stitches). In the class you will learn how to join your stitches in the round, how to hold your needles properly to knit in the round, how to read your knitting pattern, and how to decrease and use double pointed needles at the top of the hat.

| Requirements: | 100 grams of worsted weight yarn, US8 16" circular needles, US8 Double pointed needles, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. |
