Sari Ribbon
Something to make your project truly unique, this ribbon yarn is made from hand cut strips of reclaimed silk fabrics sewn end to end. Perfect for freeform knitting and crochet, weaving, embellishing, embroidery, quilting techniques, mixed media collage, and virtually any edgy project.
This version of Sari Ribbon is made from fine, lightweight silk fabrics. It knits up at a lighter gauge than its heavyweight counterpart, so for items that will get a good bit of wear (i.e. bags) we recommend a carry-along yarn such as nettle or nylon. Knitting it along with a strand of non-superwash wool and felting creates a fabulous texture.
See Wonderland Yarn's free patterns page for ideas. Other suggested uses for sari ribbon yarn are for fringing, embellishing, surface design, quilting, scrapbooking, and mixed media art.
